Today all of second grade met together to watch a pancake change its state of matter as it was cooked. We started with the mix, then watched water be added and observed it being cooked. We talked about the properties we saw as it was changing and then got to enjoy a pancake!

In the lab today we investigated what happens to houses in floods, earthquakes and volcanoes. We drew before pictures, made predictions, drew after pictures and wrote our findings. We learned that floods, earthquakes and volcanoes created fast changes to the Earth’s Surface!
