It's totally normal to have the urge to hide under the covers when you find a big, gross house issue. (Say....that the back mud porch you've always known, in your heart, is rotting away, actually IS rotting away.) That's an appropriate response, right? RIGHT?

Week #3 of my summer intern starts tomorrow. I'd forgotten how amazing and exhausting it is to watch a bright, capable person tackle a clearly defined project with vigor & excitement. I couldn't be happier so far.
My (not so) new job requires me to negotiate e-resource subscriptions. I'm an old hand at negotiating, but taking a course on digital licensing recently really helped me hone in on a new set of evaluation metrics. Never stop learning! @SLA_KWM
@DrSamiSchalk You can also just pick the green ones and let them ripen in a bag/box. We do this every year with big (and small) tomatoes and we typically have fresh tomatoes thru late Nov or early Dec.
Is there a travel agent that specializes in trips to foreign lands where people just let you into their houses and cook amazing family meals for you and tell you about everyday life there? That should be a thing.

I made meatloaf for the first time in ...oh....25? years? CRUSHED. IT. I tell you what. Just ignore 95% of recipes and do what feels right. (Glaze was a ketchup/asian garlic chili paste and a BUNCH of spices. PERFECTION.)
