@djiverson It’s an organizational failure. Preller has never been able to figure this out. You have to groom them in the minors and have them come up with the philosophy but we don’t and can’t because we don’t have the right philosophy and trade away young talent.

@MartyCaswell Team has long-term internal concerns. A star player (players) who rejects the approach to the modern game and lacks leadership. Inexcusable hiring choice in a first year manager who is in WAY beyond his capabilities it’s almost unethical. This “home stand” makes no difference.

Yep and we’ve known this for years. Hitting today takes a measure of “study” and some on the team are not smart enough to grasp it. How difficult? Probably page 1 algebra and maybe some ratio … but Manny can’t even recognize his obvious weaknesses much less predict variables.
