A statement from our chief executive, @sarahvibert82, on the riots taking place across the country.
"This is a distressing time for us all – both as individuals, and as committed workers and volunteers in a sector that is focused on building community cohesion and belonging."

Over recent days we have seen evidence of racism and Islamophobia. We stand in solidarity with communities who have faced intimidation directly or who now feel less safe.
The places and communities affected will need support to repair the harm caused by this weekend’s violence.
@SeriousRita I'm privileged that I haven't had to live with that fear or threat. I hope perpetrators are brought to justice and people reach out to their communities to offer support against the hate.
With all the divisive and hateful actions happening across the UK, the message of this felt worth a go. Join me in supporting the "Hold on to Hope" campaign! 💛 Sign the pledge and share your story. Together, we can build a better future. Learn more: https://t.co/ea4e1Tb6G5
We Love Because They Can't
With its roots in protest, Pride has always been about campaigning for global LGBTQIA+ human rights, and this year’s Brighton & Hove Pride Campaign – We Love Because They Can’t – raises awareness of the oppressive laws in countries that prohibit their LGBTQIA+ citizens from enjoying the fundamental freedoms and rights that many of us take for granted.
Check out the campaign across the city now on lampposts and in the city-centre Jubilee Library.
The campaign aims to shed light on injustices, mobilise support, and advocate for change, ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, can live freely and authentically.
