Jacksonville State University confirms that student James Nichols, of Ohatchee, Alabama, has been located safe in New York. Nichols has spoken with his family.

Out of respect for the privacy of James and his family, no further information is available for release.

Jax State is asking for the public’s help to locate student James Nichols of Ohatchee, believed to be driving his 1999 blue, four door, Chevrolet Malibu (AL tag 11AEM5U). The vehicle was last recorded in Pawling, NY, on 8/29.
