Hey @generalelectric & @WhirlpoolCorp - I have a Whirlpool Gold dryer, and converting from 3 to 4 wire plug. The directions say loop the “white” neutral ground back to neutral in 4 wire config, but mine is green/yellow. Is G/Y in fact a neutral ground? Is this correct?
Wow… @generalelectric & @WhirlpoolCorp - waited another 15m, your service department said they could not provide technical assistance, and NO ONE at #GE could help me. I am baffled. How can you sell a product with incorrect instructions & offer no assistance?? #appliances#Dryer
Hey @generalelectric & @whirlpoolusa - waited on hold for an hour to reach technical service, they did not have an answer! They only show a “white” neutral ground. Transferred to service department… still on hold. Disappointed to say the least. May be the last GE product I buy.
Happy New Year! This is the last shot I took of the #Mustang, back around Thanksgiving, in front of where my house used to stand. Back in August I had a house fire & lost everything...

Been trying to decide how to mount this oil catch can on #ProjectMidLifeCrisis for weeks! The factory bracket is flimsy & only gives you one way to clock it. While staring at the engine bay last night, I noticed the old 2-5/8” interior gauge bezel on the shelf, and had an idea...
Turns out the bracket was the exact size of the catch can! Cut it down to one cup & tapered the lip to fit the mounting area. It sandwiches perfectly between the can & almost looks like it was designed for it. The best part is it gives me the ability to clock it any way I want.
While I'm degreasing & reinstalling everything on #ProjectMidLifeCrisis after the maintenance work, I decided to modify the alternator bracket in preparation for the 130 amp #Ford 3G #Mustang alternator upgrade. I had to clearance the lower bracket and the upper mounting ear.
Power steering pump is back on #ProjectMidLifeCrisis. Went with a reman unit - for $67 & a lifetime warranty, didn't make sense to rebuild the factory #Ford pump. But... I did pull the rear reservoir as I didn't like the spray-bombed black reman one. Boy am I glad I did.
There was a tun of junk inside the reman res...
You can see by the pic's that the original #Mustang pump had been leaking from everywhere for a long time. The front seal was shot, and both o-ring seals on the res were flattened and hard as a rock!
Was hoping the bad power steering leak on #ProjectMidLifeCrisis was coming from the lines. They were definitely leaking (badly), but the pump is also leaking from the front seal. Anyone had luck rebuilding the factory PS pump with the kits they sell at auto parts stores?
Timing cover and water pump are on the #Mustang. I'll be honest & say I've never installed a #Ford cover like this. There was no room to fit the cork ends or rubber seal with the pan already bolted to the block... So I made the seal completely out of silicone.
I cleaned all surfaces, put a thin layer of silicone on the inside pan, & laid it on thick in the center of the timing cover. With the cover on (wet), I hand tightened the bolts, & waited 45 minutes for the silicone to “form” a gasket. Then tightened to the correct torque specs.
