@cruscntrl @GavinNewsom The original Constitution before the amendment still counted everyone, it just counted enslaved people as 3/5ths. EVERYONE was still counted, and in the Amendment they are still counted. An Amendment changes the Constitution. That's the law now until amended again.

@LD5019 @karlykingsley Democratic-Republic. Unfortunately, this skews the electoral college because it's House seats + Senate. Wyoming gets 3 with a 587k population. Cali gets 54 with 39 mil. Each electoral vote in WY represents 197k. Each vote in Cali represents 722k. How is that fair?

@robertbangelab @GavinNewsom Actually, based on 99 counties, you're in Iowa I would assume. Where FORTY THREE PERCENT of your state voted Democrat in the last election, but only 30% of your state house is Democrat, and 25% of your Federal House reps are Democrat.

Why are you for under-representation?

If Representation truly honored the proportions within their state and didn't actively gerrymander, at least 30% of all of the seats in ANY state would go Dem.

Even worse, look at the insane discrepancy in State Legislatures. Republicans have been gerrymandering their way to overrepresentation.
