Congratulations to our salutatorian Duncan Arnold and our Valedictorian Hayden Brackeen on being recognized for their hard work and achievements this morning. Well done!
So fun to be able to share our growth with @jteacha’s 1st grade class! We were able to bring in our beginning, middle, and end writing and listen to the 1st graders read a story they’ve been working so hard on! ❤️@BeaumontMagnet @BMAWindyC
Today we made some simple puppets to help us tell the perspectives of Kate and Clyde as they visited each other’s home in the country and city! @BeaumontMagnet#KCSRegion5
Exploring with some of our dance props while we learn about the parts of a plant and their jobs. Can you see the roots, stem, leaves, and flower? #artintegration@BeaumontMagnet
After practicing reading riddles today in our reading lesson, we created success criteria and then used it to write our own riddles. So much fun! @BeaumontMagnet
It’s a wrap on Unit 1 Week 2 comparing and contrasting our two texts of the life cycle of a frog and the life cycle of an oak tree. We had some great group collaborations and even added a galley walk to compare with other groups. @BeaumontMagnet
Love a class of mathematical thinkers! ❤️Their thinking is often a starting point and takes us to more learning opportunities and discussion. @BeaumontMagnet
Ms. McCue’s first grade class is rocking it out using success criteria to help guide their writing assignment. She is consistently modeling expectations for student success! @BeaumontMagnet
We had fun combining two of our benchmark lessons together. Using details to tell about one of the stages of the frog’s life cycle and then sequencing them in order! @BeaumontMagnet
Starting to learn about how success criteria can be so helpful in knowing the expectations of my work. Check out our questions from our Benchmark lesson today learning about the life cycle of an oak tree. @BeaumontMagnet
It wouldn’t be the first week of school without our annual “Me Museums”. We love getting to learn more about each other and checking out that amazing writing! @BeaumontMagnet
What a great way to end the week! Making instruments to end our sound unit and having a winter party parade singing Jingle Bells while playing our instruments! ❤️@BeaumontMagnet
