@RBoldan@bell76275700 Hi Richard, what kit do you use to remove the cuttings? We need to 'remove fertility' in our margins to help the flowers but our only means is to cut it, row it up and bale it which is costly. How do you do it please?
A whole lot more food price inflation and shortages to come through as impact of massive cost of production increase (fuel, fert, energy, labour) impact the UK season - era of cheap food is over. More balance in farm to retail value relationship long overdue
@richardpayne94 Richard, are these already established grass buffer margins? If so, are you topping them close to the ground first or just direct drilling in to the existing 'long' grass? I ask as we tried the latter last year and have had a very poor take - any experience/ knowledge appreciated
@3d_jamesdouglas James, do will you bale it once dry? If so how do you retain the leaf? We dried some in the bale a few years ago and made some nice hay but struggled to find reliable markets for it and horse folk felt it was like 'rocket fuel'. Would be great to get your experiences.
We welcome the launch of @LidlGB's new grass fed steak which recognises the sustainability of British beef 👏 Visit NFU Online to see what our National Livestock board chair Richard Findlay said about it 👉 https://t.co/XYpOuXrlJa
1/ This article of the effects of glyphosate on following crops is really interesting and very well referenced. Worthy of serious discussion. Hopefully OK to reproduce
