Hegseth ends flu vaccine mandate.
60% of USAF trainees don't get vaccinated.
Flu outbreak at Lackland AFB sickens c. 160 trainees.
USAF requires all recruits at Lackland to get vaccine in effort to stem outbreak.
Vaccines help readiness. Is that hard to understand?
My issues with the MOU are many.
For one the admin needs to stop reducing its detractors to either moronic neocons, or foreign paid actors.
The MOU has detractors because it looks like a pile of dog shit. A dogshit deal with a communication department whose language is memes is a recipe for disaster.
The fulcrum of the conflict is and will always be the straight. This looks like we paid them to decrease leverage. No ifs, ands, or buts. It certainly looks like we bent over and took it up the ass because we didn’t have the political will to wrestle control of this waterway away from the IRGC. This time it’s $400b, next time the price will go up.
As an active Scouting leader it's important for me to address the comments under this amazing display of civic service by Troop 36.
First of all, they are doing nothing wrong. The US Flag Code is the only guidance that matters. Everything else is either tradition or opinion. Comments like these are exactly why Scout units do not want to do these ceremonies; because people who know nothing, but are strongly confident in their ignorance, come charging in to berate them.
Which brings me to point 2: why do so many people feel like they need to try and beat down these kids who are taking time from their weekend to perform a critical civic duty? Does it really make you feel stronger to ignorantly yell at children? Are you doing it because you feel like you need more attention than they do?
Third... Are you volunteering? Are you performing these ceremonies at your VFW or other veterans group? Or are you just yelling from the sidelines like so many love to do. Feel free to volunteer yourself, it's cheap and easy to do so. You have a chance to improve the experience for both yourself and others. Are you even interested in that? Or are you only interested in using the Flag as a means to attack people and groups you don't like?
Great job Scouts. Everyone else can sit down and shut up.

Washington Post: Elias Irizarry, a convicted Jan. 6 rioter, has been hired by the Trump administration to work in a Pentagon office that oversees highly classified military operations, according to four people familiar with the matter.
The hire has raised alarm among staff, who question how someone convicted of taking part in the assault on American democracy could be trusted with such a sensitive role in the U.S. government.
A cancer vaccine, using the same core mRNA technology as the COVID vaccine, has shown an almost 50% reduction in the risk of melanoma recurrence or death when combined with immunotherapy.
This is why we fund MRNA technology.
The U.S. Department of Defense announced Monday that the Pentagon Press Office, a workspace where journalists have long been able to seek information from defense and military officials, has been deemed a classified space and is now off-limits to the press to make room for speechwriters who handle sensitive material, in the latest attempt by the department under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to limit media access in and around the Pentagon.

The U.S. Department of Defense has been directed by the Trump Administration to erect a 50 to 250-bed quarantine facility and military field hospital in Kenya within the next week, which will be used to house Americans exposed to the deadly Ebola virus in the growing outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, two people familiar with the matter told The Washington Post.
This is probably a long shot, but if anybody happens to be in DC this weekend and plans on visiting Arlington, I would love to see a fresh photo of my husband’s grave in Section 60.

There’s just something about knowing people still stop by, still say his name, still remember. 🇺🇸⭐🇺🇸
Literally no Ebola expert ever said “less PPE is better”. Workers were forced to wear surgical masks because they didn’t have access to respirators. They are forced to do so again because USAID cut funds, not because of this silly invented controversy
