@TARAVALTUNNEL@marcorandazza As much as I like the idea of criminals being apprehended and prosecuted, every time I see a high speed chase on crowded roads I immediately think it’s not worth the chase unless the driver is a clear and imminent threat to someone’s safety.
@Zigmanfreud I’m so glad I grew up in a world before parents could post embarrassing shit like this to be seen by thousands or millions the pubic eye. I’d be mortified if either of my parents posted something so unnecessary about me on their social media when I was in middle school.
@filissonic@danielkleach Yeah, maybe in some theoretical ideal world. The vast majority of people are going to college with a simple ROI mindset. If they thought they’d have a better chance making more stable money doing something else, many would skip college and start working.
@Tim_Denning Yeah let me just get started on my one-person electric and gas utility. Sometimes I think people forget that there are many jobs that aren’t “building someone else’s dream” but are actually essential and crucial to keeping society running.
@HelenaPuppygirl@horkypog Yeah and if everyone did that, YouTube would generate less ad revenue and people who put their time and effort into creating content (some of it actually very useful and educational), wouldn’t be compensated for their trouble.
@PicturesFoIder I think we all need to collectively decide if it is acceptable to use a video recording device in a public gym where other people might be in the shot, intentionally or otherwise. Too many people in these comments thinking intent matters.
In 24 hours I’m going to give one random person that retweets this tweet $10,000 in Bitcoin! (Yup, gonna experiment with this instead of cash haha) Make sure you follow me so I can dm you if you win :)
I guess I haven’t been following through with my plan to log stuff I was experiencing during this time. I guess I’m just not used to posting a lot to social media.
How many people are going to die from other illnesses because they have delayed elective procedures like routine cancer screenings or visiting medical professionals in fear that they will get sick at a hospital?
