I've been working on this score/MIDI processing algorithm for a while and I'm not sure what to call it. Maybe you can help me name it? It's inspired by time-stretching audio signals but operates on a way larger time scale and processes notes, not sounds.

@audiobulb@cycling74 This is using the Ableton API so it's specific to Live but it would be pretty simple to make a standalone version that reads and exports MIDI files, platform agnostic 🤔
This is executed in Max for Live - using the Live API to copy all the notes from a MIDI clip into a dictionary. All the note transformations happen in Javascript and are then sent back into Ableton.

This example stretches Erik Satie's iconic Gymnopédie No 1 with windows that are 12 beats long, spaced 1.33 beats apart, and which increment into the score at 1/4 rate.
This delightful piece of interactive utopian infotainment is out now from @molleindustria featuring an original soundtrack by yours truly 🎶🎚
Green New Deail Simulator is a tiny deck-building game about the funnest topic of the era: climate change. Please enjoy.
Regressor Mapper - uses a neural network to control many parameters in Ableton from various input signals. Seen here using a phone’s gravity sensor (X/Y/Z) to control eight parameters in a chain. Data sent to Ableton via WiFi/OSC.

"an enormously complex listening experience – a vast, seemingly never-ending torrent of fascinating filigree – utterly arresting" - @5against4
Get yourself utterly arrested - all proceeds go to the artists
Particle synth - each dot is a frequency modulated voice where X axis sets base frequency, Y axis is depth of modulation, Z axis is harmonicity ratio. No other FX or processing, just a stupidly large amount of oscillators and some pseudo physics.

@cycling74 Also - if you like complex listening - today is not just any Friday, it is the one and true BANDCAMP FRIDAY. Why not mosey over and grab a copy of Congregation of Drones - Twenty Twenty

The thing that makes this sound so crazy is not just the number of oscillators but the kinda gravitational method of getting the voices to congregate with their synthesis parameters. But of course a *stupid* number of oscillators is required for the effect to be achieved.
