OLD SOULS HAVE A GREATER LIFE PURPOSE

They come to this world with a purpose, a mission and many times they believe that a love could distract them from the fulfillment of that task.

Before seeking love as a couple, they prioritize their personal evolution and understanding of their life mission.

Since a love requires a lot of attention and dedication, they end up putting aside the more mundane love relationships a bit.

Unless it is the ideal companion on the road, complementary and related to the purpose to be manifested.

In that case the encounter occurs through DIVINE ALCHEMY.

THE SEARCH FOR THE OTHER HALF

Perhaps one of the most popular myths about the androgyne is Plato’s Symposium. In these dialogues, Aristophanes tells of a legend about the first earthlings, who all had two heads, two sets of arms and feet, but one spherical body.

These are pairs composed of both men, both women, and a man and a woman. It also recounted that the hermaphrodite or Two­ in­ One had been ambitious and sought to reach the abode of the Gods.

Because of this, Zeus cut the earthlings in the middle and threw each of the pair in opposite directions.

Since then, the offsprings of the half­ man/half­ woman, which made up most of mankind, sought to find their other half to finally be complete and continue their quest of reaching the heavens.

Now isn’t that romantic? All stories of twin souls and twin flames might just be about the separated androgynes longing to find their other half and become one again, as in the ancient days.

As a symbol, the androgyne is both romantic and otherworldly. Romantic because this half­ woman/half man is symbolic of twin souls who parted and reunited. We fall in love and instinctively seek out that one perfect mate to be with for life.

And otherworldly because our search for that mate is really an echo of a bigger, cosmic goal of uniting with the universe, God, the Tao, or whatever you call that great something from whence we came and to which we will return someday.

This story may simply be allergic representing the search for wholeness and transcendence over duality.
