Ex - My party dispelled magic on a main villain of an arch instead of a rune on her person. She instantly died because she was keeping herself alive via necrotic magic that was unstable. Honestly, still the best way they have killed a villain NPC.
@LawmasterLorai I have only finished one mini bloodborne campaign that lasted 4 ish session. Though our main campaign is still going strong after 2 years with the main players still around. [even adding a new one recently.]
@emma_collis For me it depends [if DM'ing]? The only time I played in a campaign, my Warlock would cast mage armor [armor of shadows] every 8 hours. Though he would do it before/after the long rest.
@quinnthegm Most of the time we uses a variant I created for the Rolled system:
It is still the same 4d6 drop the lowest, but you instead roll 9 times instead of 6. Your character stats are the 3 highest and the 3 lowest roll.
Hey there #DnD and #ttrpg DM's and players! Anyone have any tips to run a Grim Dark/Bloodborne kind of campaign?
This is my first time running a Horror mini campaign, so any references or idea would be greatly appreciated!
@RRollplaying For me for sure story! After a few sessions I knew that my Warlock [Purcival Parsons] was really not good for either combat nor utility. I ended up having so much more fun with the roleplaying aspect with this character than any before due to his backstory.
@RRollplaying Yup! Edmond Newgrave the a half wood elf. Who is a Cleric of the Death and a Wizard of Necromancy. As a follower of Jergal he has become a traveling grave digger, going town to town to offer his services to those who need them.
@RRollplaying For me, It is when I don't say anything to my players. When they just see panic cross my eyes as I start to dig through notes on my google drive.
