There’s a big difference between doing things for yourself and doing things by yourself. It took me a very long time to realize receiving help doesn’t take away at all from any accomplishments.
Crazy how life works out when you stop looking for shortcuts and just do what you gotta do instead of looking for someone or something else to blame all the time
Really sad when you pour so much into a person just for them to turn around and do the exact opposite of what you tried to instill in them. Then have the nerve to try and apologize. You’re not sorry, you’re just sorry it didn’t work😭
Project pat said it best, “love what you got and remember what you had”. Unironically something that really resonates with me every time I hear that song. Not feeling sad but more so satisfied and reflecting on everything it took to progress to this point in my life
I’ve met many people in my life who have gotten opportunities time and time again yet thrown them away. People with both good and bad hands dealt to them, I think that’s what really opened my eyes to the fact that the only thing that matters is what you do with what you have.
I’m genuinely really proud of myself for what I’m doing with my life. Just a few years ago I was convinced I would always feel unfulfilled and became complacent with the feeling of inevitable uselessness
I think it’s funny how anyone who’s ever badmouthed me cannot beat my ass. Gee I wonder why they resorted to he said she said instead of direct confrontation.
I knew it was only a matter of time until I hit another mental funk, but oddly enough I’m not really upset about it? I think I’m more so understanding why I’m in it and how to get out of it. Sometimes you just gotta let yourself feel fully before you’re ready to get through it.
Sometimes experiences make you build up your walls emotionally and that’s completely normal as long as you don’t let the walls get so thick that nobody else can get in. I think I’m finally learning that for myself. It isn’t easy, but progress isn’t really supposed to be.
