@HockeyMan201 The problem is good players rarely make it to free agency. Which means if you want to acquire them you have yo pay substantially either via trade or offer sheet. But there is line to be drawn when giving up assets to acquire.

@HockeyMan201 It’s a phenomenal way to overpay for players. Carlson worth 18 million a year and 4 first round picks? Absolutely not. If anything Philly will be an average team that makes the playoffs but never wins a cup and then goes back to purgatory
