I reported 2 months ago that @MohamedNasheed is raising finances for a mega project in Laamu Atoll. It will be an SEZ Township.

We have identified the island as L. Baresdhoo. He is working together with @Banafsaa on facilitating this project. Nasheed’s Rasmale position will be taken into account by the PNC government. This is 100% true.

The Ras Malé agreement provides for State revenue through TGST at standard rates, 10% of the master developer’s revenue from first sales and leases, and a 4% payment on property value by buyers on first purchases and subsequent transfers.

The agreement grants no tax concessions or duty exemptions. The Government will take no loan and provide no sovereign guarantee for the development, ensuring that the project contributes to public revenue without creating these financial obligations for the State.
