As Davide said, we should send tons of requests to MEXT. Write in Japanese if you can and explain why you can't wait any longer, what would you like to do in Japan to play an active role in the society and ask for a fast entry for everyone.

@Carmen41661659 This friend in particular is a foreigner living in JP, but many of my Japanese friends told me the same tbh. Many simply refuse to accept the logic, or just don't care about it, or even think that telling us things like that will make us feel better... sigh

Well actually in my case is my life that broke down but hey I guess that your iPhone has more or less the same value
