In January 2024, H.E. Liu Guozhong Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Premier of the State Council, and Special Representative of President Xi Jinping travelled to Uganda to attend the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Summit and the Third South Summit.

His presence carried a clear message: China stands with Uganda, and China stands with the Global South.

During the visit, H.E. Liu Guozhong met with President Yoweri Museveni. The meeting underscored the depth of China-Uganda relations and China's genuine commitment to supporting Uganda's growing leadership role on the world stage.

Genuine friends support each other, not only in times of need, but in moments of pride and achievement.
