Between 2 and 18 April, the Myanmar junta launched 17 airstrikes in Chin State, killing 13 civilians—mostly women and children—and destroying homes, churches, a school, and public buildings. These attacks during earthquake recovery are war crimes and demand urgent accountability.

The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Mr. Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, and Prime Minister of Malaysia, the rotating Chair of ASEAN, Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, held a teleconference meeting on the morning of April 18, 2025.
In the meeting, they had a discussion on issues related to enhancing relations with ASEAN Chair and the ASEAN member states and the effective delivery and distribution of humanitarian assistance to the people of Myanmar.
