This is going to get me in trouble but I couldn’t give two shits what your token utilization is - I care about the output.

We have become so obsessed with AI usage in companies, and think that’s all that matters. It isn’t - it’s the baseline.

You don’t get to brag about using AI tools as an employee anymore. You have to show what you’re actually doing with them. If you’re just feeding in slop prompts to show that you’re “on the cutting edge,” you’re lying to yourself about how productive you’re actually being.
