Surprise! @EdGallrein, benefited from nearly $10 million in #AIPAC-backed spending, won.
@RepThomasMassie called it out instantly. More and more Americans understand that our political system is being shaped by “Israeli” interests rather than America’s.
The @intifada broke this story today about the Committee to Protect Journalists. In an effort to protect Israel, they've completely canceled their most important publication, released annually since 2008. The "Impunity Index" ranks countries that allow those who deliberately target journalists to get away with their crimes.
Although the Impunity Index is trusted and cited in many human rights reports, Jodie Ginsberg, CPJ's CEO, scrapped it because the calculations would put Israel at the top of the list.
As the index covers a 10 year span, Israel would not only rant at the top in 2025, but likely for many years to come.
Unsurprisingly, as @AliAbunimah notes, CPJ's board of directors is composed of "who’s who of figures from mainstream pro-Israel outlets."
Are you an American who says you care about the Iranian people and refuse to ignore their suffering?
Great! Here’s how you can help:
Protest US sanctions on Iran. Demand their removal. Oppose the policies actively harming them.
And stop choosing ignorance.

So much is happening in the West Bank, yet hardly anyone is talking about it. Why? Because the colonizer has raised the threshold of outrage to the level of genocide. Anything less has been normalized—treated as unworthy of attention. As if the measure of suffering is now:
“Well, at least it’s not carpet bombing and mass slaughter.”

Instead of making a world where an extermination campaign of an entire nation is intolerable, the past 2 years of US-sponsored livestreamed warfare in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, & Iran have turned many of you into apathetic shills. You have been dehumanised, you have lost.
This isn’t to justify it, but to explain the dynamic. So instead of imposing a Western lens on Arabs and echoing Western systemic narratives about racism, we must recognize the media-driven nature of selective empathy and challenge it—without adopting frameworks that aren’t ours.
When the media highlighted Syria, people cared. When it ignored Yemen, most people did too. Many in our societies end up following the “trending” causes selected for them.
