Something curious happens to British politicians when they retire.
Some become sages, elder statesman whose advice is sought and respected. Their opinions honed through experience and knowledge.
And then there is Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn
Today's #PMQs has to be one of PM Starmer's best.
His resilience - remarkable.
His humour - repeatable.
His loyalty to colleagues- resolute.
Ed Davey - whom I regularly criticise got the tone absolutely right.
Badenoch - injected her usual juvenile spite.
Sir Keir Starmer won a massive majority, the British people voted for him and from day one the foreign owned British media together with the BBC did everything possible to overthrow that democratic choice and force him out.
He never lost an election and yet he's gone.
Starmer was hated. Says far more about the electorate than the man. Impossible to govern when people want welfare, triple lock, tax loopholes, NIMBYist vetoes, while also hating the low growth, high debt economy this entails. Starmer was a good man leading an ungovernable country
Times of great delicacy such as these are a stark reminder that the very idea of either Kemi Badenoch or Nigel Farage being in charge of the UK’s foreign and defence policy is utterly laughable.
Serious issues need serious people.
Larry, the 19 year-old Downing Street cat caught a mouse … while Prime Minister Starmer was conducting a live press conference right outside Number 10!
Good job, Larry. It’s great to see someone in Downing Street is working hard!
@AndieDelicacy @ydnhkrm He used to come to a theatre I was working in and he was always surrounded by at least 6 “dolly birds”. He had a very nasty smirk on his face too.
