One of my childhood friends got married as a virgin.

I know this because we've been close since we were little kids. We practically grew up together, and even though we now live miles apart, there's almost nothing she doesn't tell me.

She got married last December.

A few months later, she found out her husband had been cheating on her since February. She saw evidence, but still wanted to hear it from him directly.

When she confronted him, he shamelessly told her that she doesn't satisfy him because she's inexperienced. According to him, he wasn't a virgin when he got married, so he's used to a certain level of experience that she can't provide.

Imagine hearing that from the person you married.

She was crying on the phone while telling me, and honestly, I felt terrible for her.

This is what confuses me.

A lot of men say they want a virgin wife. Some even make it a non-negotiable requirement.

Then a man gets exactly what he claimed he wanted, only to turn around and cheat because she's "inexperienced."

If experience is what you truly wanted, why not marry an experienced woman?

And for women, how are they even supposed to know who is genuinely a virgin man? There is no obvious way to tell.

People often tell women to save themselves for marriage, but stories like this make you wonder what exactly some people want.

I'm genuinely asking:

What do people really mean when they say they want a virgin partner?
