first casualty: corinna hurt her hand :( quite a gash in the left hand. saw a dr in hintertux, tomorrow we'll know if we can continue.

we're already at the hut! sitting in the sun having apple pie... the good life!

on our way into the central alpes towards hintertux. starting to get used to the daily exercise! eating about half a horse each day :)

taking a break in tirol today. laundry & hygiene day :) also replenished our musli and nuts stock to get us through the central alpes.

Königsetappe bei kaiserwetter! took us almost twelve hours to get to the hut, but it was fabulous!

We're at karwendelhaus tonight. tomorrow will be the toughest day of our tour: nine hours walking. yikes!

Taking the bus again to skip ten k along a road. weather is gorgeous! yey!

We walked with a couple and a dad & his policeman son. really nice people. they waited a quite a bit for us today. We're slow :)

today's tour was really nice - we finally saw some mountain scenery! took pictures to prove it :)

the rainy day is over, the hut was really nice, the gear is sort of dry again, and we're on our way to vorderriss.

today we cheated and took the bus for part of the way :) knees gave way and need regeneration. ice cream in bad toelz should help.

we made it! f***! 32 km on foot is far! ate cheese, need sleep. tomorrow another 26 to bad toelz.
