The display of homemade placards on a fence by Parliament after today's demo felt really poignant. Soggy from rain, they won't last, yet they're a piece of social history & should be preserved...thinking of all the people behind each of them #BlackLivesMatter#GeorgeFloydProtests
@BenJamalpsc So very sorry to hear your news and that you are standing down as Director, you will be sorely missed by the extraordinary Palestine movement you have played such a role in building. Take care and sending solidarity.
I've written this obituary to pay tribute to the amazing campaigner for abortion rights, Diane Munday, who has died at 94
Diane was pivotal to the campaign that won the 1967 Abortion Act, but she always said we still had to fight for more, and she never gave up.
Since when does the Home Secretary or police *ask* terrorists to postpone or cancel their "terrorist" action to another day as the police are going to be busy?!
I think it just might mean they know @DefendourJuries protesters (whisper it) are not actually terrorists...
“Police ask for protest against Palestine Action ban to be postponed after Manchester attack
Organisers say protest will go ahead as planned and it is up to Met whether or not it prioritises arrests”
The police are welcome to use resources elsewhere 🤷

Torrential rain & an amber weather warning didn’t stop us.
Amazing to see 80K march today with @STWuk & @PSCupdates in solidarity with Palestine.
And the sun did come out in the end!

🔥 Tomorrow’s demo is going to be scorchio
☀️ Please stay safe in the heat and sun
🧢 Bring hats, lots of water, sun cream etc and consider the most vulnerable with and around you
⛑️ And let your nearest steward know if you or people with you feel unwell
Amazing to be part of massive protest outside Westminster Court to support @KNEECAPCEOL's Mo Chara facing trumped up terror charges
They should be charging the murderers of over 50K Palestinians 🇵🇸
Lovely to see the wonderful @paulwellerHQ there in solidarity💚
#FreePalestine
Over 200 people volunteered as stewards on our massive demo today, some 1st timers. Here’s our officer @juditheo with her crack team.
Thanks to all our stewards for ensuring such a huge (600k) march went so smoothly.
Magnificent @STWuk@PSCupdates demonstration of solidarity with Palestinians of Gaza today - more than half a million of us marched through London. 🇵🇸
Our government is complicit in genocide.
#StopArmingIsrael#FreePalestine
It’s an absolute outrage that Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos had to attend Charing Cross police station today for a police interview about 18 Jan Palestine demo🇵🇸
But we held a noisy protest in solidarity as he arrived! #StopBombingGaza @STWuk @PSCupdates
Fantastic angry @STWuk@PSCupdates demo tonight outside Downing St
Several thousand at such short notice shows the outrage people feel after waking up to news that the Israelis had committed mass murder in airstrikes on Gaza overnight
Ceasefire…what ceasefire?
#StopArmingIsrael
This exchange - Starmer grovelling to Trump saying he was "bearing an unprecedented 2nd invite from king for state visit" blah blah was so excruciating it could have been a spoof
Sadly it was real
We'll have to give Trump the welcome he deserves...
