Bill Breakdown: SB26-023 (School Finance Act) 📚

The Action: Kirkmeyer served as a Prime Sponsor.

What It Did: Automatically increased baseline K-12 public education funding to a massive $10.2 billion, raising per-pupil spending by hundreds of dollars.

The Result: Passed and signed into law by Democrat Governor Jared Polis.

❌Why It’s NOT Conservative: Conservatism dictates that throwing taxpayer money at a failing, ideologically captured public school system is not a solution. Instead of pushing for structural reforms like universal school choice, educational vouchers, or slashing administrative waste, Kirkmeyer chose to act as the chief funding mechanism for the state's education bureaucracy.

🚨BREAKING: Colorado Supreme Court just FORCED Children’s Hospital Colorado to resume sex-rejecting procedures on minors — even after the hospital paused them over fears of losing Medicaid/Medicare funding that helps ALL kids.

Trans activists sued. The court ruled 5-2 that federal threats weren’t enough to justify stopping. State “gender identity” protections trumped patient safety and the hospital’s funding concerns.

Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act strikes again.

Kids in CO deserve better. These are experimental, irreversible interventions with serious risks. Hospitals shouldn’t be forced to harm children.

WE MUST PASS THE @ProtectKidsCO BALLOT MEASURE IN NOVEMBER! It will stop this insanity.
