Four years ago, I came across a young boy named Kshitiz Pandey. His family couldn’t afford to educate him, so I raised funds with the help of some incredibly kind people on twitter and managed to get him enrolled in a school in South West Delhi.
For the last four years, we’ve somehow made it work. Every year, people stepped in to help with his school fees, and I did whatever I could from my end. But we’ve reached a point where it just isn’t manageable anymore.
Kshitiz is now moving into Class 10th and he wants to continue studying. He’s a bright, hardworking student who genuinely deserves an opportunity. Unfortunately, his father’s health has deteriorated significantly, and the family’s financial condition has become even worse.
The only option they have right now is to send him to the government school in their village which is agreeing to get him enroll in class 9th (not 10th). While there’s nothing wrong with government schools, this would mean a complete change in his learning environment, and after everything he’s worked for over the last four years, it would be a huge setback. Catching up academically after such a disruption won’t be easy. As a teacher i want best for him.
So today, I’m asking for help again.
If anyone from South West Delhi can help get Kshitiz enrolled in a school, connect us with a principal, a trustee, an NGO, or anyone who can sponsor or support his further education, it could genuinely change the course of his life.
Education is the only way he has to break out of the cycle he’s been born into. He’s done his part by studying hard. Now he just needs someone to make sure he doesn’t have to stop because of circumstances beyond his control.
If you can help in any way or even amplify this by sharing it. I would be deeply grateful 🙏🏻
If you want to help him financially , here is the UPI - divya.sharma20@ybl
Funds will be strictly managed by me only.
In India, most abandoned pedigree dogs found on the streets or in shelters end up there after being used for breeding. As pet parents, we always criticize breeders. But for once, shouldn't we realize who these illegal breeding hubs are actually running for?
Breeders overbreed a single dog thousands of times just to fulfill consumer demand. They run it strictly as a business, with absolute disregard for the dogs' health or survival.
If we truly want to show sympathy toward these innocent animals, we need to take the right step. Stop buying specific breeds. If you are incredibly fond of a particular breed, look to adopt one. Alternatively, before getting a dog from any breeder, demand to see their license and thoroughly check their breeding history.
Remember, animals are not stuffed toys that we purchase from the market for our entertainment.
They are living beings.
Choose to adopt rather than purchase.
They are not products; they are lives.

Hey mainstream media. I know a lot of your anchors are dog owners. If you can crawl out of the political crevasses your heads are stuck in, do a story about people violently taking the law into their own hands because of loosely interpreted court judgements. This is happening country wide. Do some good.
Keshav Negi did not get bail & has been sent to jail for 14 days in judicial custody. A 65 yr old poor chef is rotting in jail while corrupt municipal officials who allowed that illegal death trap to run are probably enjoying air conditioned rooms.

Relocation is cruel, illegal and ineffective.
The void left by the dogs picked up is quickly filled by other dogs in the absence of a proper animal birth control program.
Following a complaint by PETA India and Stray Animal Foundation India (SAFI), police have registered an FIR against the cruel capture and illegal relocation of over a hundred dogs and initiated an investigation to trace the missing dogs.
We commend Metpally Police Station for registration of the FIR under Section 62 read with Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Sections 11(1)(a) and 38(3) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, against the Chairman of Metpally Municipality.

We urge all local municipal bodies to promptly implement humane animal birth control as required by law and the Supreme Court judgment dated 19 May 2026.

Pune me ek aadmi ne ek 16 saal ki street dog ko 3 baar car reverse karke kuchal diya, uski haalat aisi huee ki vet ne usko injection de kar peeda se mukt kiya. This is what hate narrative towards animals does. 16 saal ki local resident dog me vaise bhi kitni hee zindagi bachi thee.
Lucknow's ABC model has been recognised by the Supreme Court itself as a national benchmark. The court knows what works. The question is whether implementation will follow acknowledgement.

Spanning 100m, this resilient giant survived the 1934 earthquake. Ready to get Heritage Tree' status. Protecting such veteran keystone species with proper silvicultural care is vital for urban biodiversity. 🌳✨

ABC DIDN'T FAIL.. GOVERNANCE DID: WHY ARE DOGS PAYING THE PRICE?
Where are all the illiterates like Muralidharan, Meghna Uniyal, Ryan Lobo and other dumbduck dog haters on social media, who spent years claiming that "ABC doesn't work" because the government has supposedly been implementing it for decades?
THIS is what implementation looks like?
According to Lok Sabha data, the Centre allocated ZERO funds to states for the Animal Birth Control programme.
ZERO!!🤡
So let's be honest: if a programme is starved of funding, lacks infrastructure, lacks manpower, lacks veterinary support, and is never implemented at the scale required, how can anyone claim it has "failed"?
What failed is not ABC!
What failed is governance!
For years, the public was told that sterilization doesn't work. Meanwhile, the very authorities responsible for controlling stray populations apparently couldn't even ensure proper funding for the programme.
And now the biggest questions:
1. Why wasn't this front and centre in the Supreme Court proceedings?
2. Why was there no demand for a full investigation into the authorities who failed to implement the law?
3. Why were officials not asked to explain how a national programme meant to control stray populations was left without adequate funding and execution?
4. Why is there endless outrage about dogs, but deafening silence about administrative failure?
5. And where is the media? @DDNewslive@ndtv@aajtak@BiharTakChannel
Why are we not seeing prime-time debates about years of neglect, mismanagement, and failure by authorities entrusted with public health and animal welfare?
Most importantly:
6. Why are dogs being made to pay the price for governance failure?
If governments failed to fund ABC, failed to build infrastructure, failed to sterilize, failed to vaccinate, and failed to enforce existing laws, then why are the animals being blamed for the consequences of that failure?
Why are dogs being demonized, removed, displaced, abused, or condemned because authorities failed to do the very job they were legally responsible for doing?
The public is angry and rightly so. But that anger should be directed at those who failed to govern, not at animals that had no role in creating this crisis.
You cannot sabotage a programme, refuse to fund it, fail to implement it, and then turn around and declare that it doesn't work.
If the data shows ZERO central funding, then the real scandal is not the existence of ABC.
The real scandal is that those responsible for implementing it may have failed for years and now both citizens and dogs are paying the price.
The question is simple:
Who is going to be held accountable for that failure?

Lucknow. Dehradun. Kozhikode. Goa. Cities that committed to the ABC model saw measurable declines in both dog populations and rabies. These are not experiments - they are proof of concept.
