The sun still rises over Nigeria’s skies,

A bag of rice, a loaf of bread,

The average man works from dawn till night,
Yet struggles still to eat alright.

And petrol… the lifeblood of wheels and trade
Has become a burden too heavy to evade.
Each increase echoes through every home,
From crowded cities to places remote and lone.

The driver groans, the trader cries,
As transport fares continue to rise.
What once was manageable, steady and fair,
Now feels like a weight too much to bear.

Yet through the darkness, a flame remains,
A stubborn hope despite the pains.
For Nigeria’s strength has always stood
In resilient hearts that seek the good.

May peace return to every land,
May justice rise with a steady hand.
May every citizen one day see
A nation healed, secure, and free.
