@ESPN_Schick And this is for the girls game! We couldn’t even get our pep band to play at our games back in the day. Fight for Dear Ole Scottsbluff, baby!!
Omaha / NE-02, you big beautiful democracy, you. Stunning turnout in the precinct I worked, SO MANY first time voters. No drama, no electioneering, no crabbiness. Regardless of the outcome, yay democracy.
@RexChapman On behalf of volunteer poll workers everywhere, can we please get the word out to every corner of the political spectrum: you are not allowed to wear candidate attire at polling places, and this is NOT a new rule. We have to ask you to remove/cover if you arrive wearing it.
@CHRISBURBACH I can vouch for a similar line I observed last Saturday morning when I was at the yarn store across the parking lot from the election commission!
The playlist shared by @remhq highlights songs from the band’s catalog that are focused on social justice and activism, with the aim being to help “listeners to stay informed, engaged, and vote during this critical election season”

People like riding bikes. They don’t like being vulnerable. That’s why people don’t ride bikes. Remove whatever is making people feel vulnerable & more people will ride bikes.
We put our personal political beliefs aside and work as a team to get the job done. Our Inspectors keep an eagle eye. Election Commission staff stop by several times to monitor and make sure we are following procedures. In other words, have confidence that your vote is secure!
Experienced poll worker here. If your name is not in the book when you show up to vote, most likely you are simply at the wrong polling place. You will be given a number to call to check where you should be. Double check your polling location before you head out. 1/4
The training required of us before *every* election is very thorough. There are many cross checks and redundancies built into the system to assure accuracy. We even schedule our breaks such that we maintain the required bipartisan balance of volunteers at all times. 3/4
