Hungría declaró la guerra a la URSS el 27 de junio de 1941, cinco días después de la invasión alemana. Su 2º Ejército defendía el Don al sur de Vorónezh. El asalto soviético comenzó el 12 de enero de 1943, y las defensas húngaras colapsaron en cuestión de días. Alrededor de 120.000 soldados húngaros resultaron muertos, heridos o capturados.

Assault troops from the 80th Guards Tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division have captured several Ukrainian combatants in the Dnipropetrovsk sector.

During combat, the unit employs an integrated approach: they use FPV drones to locate and strike concealed enemy positions, and upon making direct contact, neutralize the enemy using standard-issue weaponry. In such instances, the Russian troops invariably offer the enemy the chance to surrender; if the Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel accept, the assault troops arrange for their evacuation to Russian-held territory, making every effort to preserve the lives of the captives—even while under fire or subject to attacks by Ukrainian drones
