@suzanne_moore 2/2 All the columns from the series were 'ghost written' by me in this way. He was emailed each one for approval and never changed a word.
@suzanne_moore I hired him to write a column on Big Brother for the News of the World. First one came back late and was a 'sub-Chomskyian woo' - not fit for publication. I rang his excellent agent and we agreed that I would interview him on the phone and write the column from that. 1/2
@paulclements@MattNixson You have to leave them in designated areas these days. You cannot leave them anywhere. Yes there can be unsightly clusters. But how great that so many are cycling. Go to Istanbul - you wonβt see a bike - a congested smog choking hellhole, all cos they have no transport strategy.
@MattNixson@paulclements Love Lime Bikes - yes sometimes too many in one place. They have got a whole generation on two wheels - huge change for the better. How many Gen Zβs cycled before Limes?
@sturgios Great piece. They live around the corner from me in Wandsworth in a big mustard coloured house. You can bump into them regularly walking around Wandsworth Common, though more often it is Tim on his own these days, sadly.
@peterallenparis@TTuchelofficial Let's also add Kalidou Koulibaly at Β£33m aged 31 to the list - another resounding flop. But team very much like they were under Lampard - good players playing appallingly, and Potter is owning that. We should have appointed Thomas Frank!
That all looks very familiar - Wandsworth Common West Side and a bit of Heathfield Road? Pop in for a cuppa next time - Iβm on West Side - cheaper that Β£6.20 lager in the County, my local.
Wandsworth day trip outcome- walked around the Common, saw the cemetery and the prison and the Hardy plaque. Had a drink in the County Arms and the Alma, both gorgeous. So many nice posh streets in the wider area. And flashback to daily cycling to work down Trinity Road in 1989.
@peterallenparis@sturgios It's a belter - very good on Dacre and his early years as a reporter in New York. Addison is a massive David English fan and is brilliant covering those years. I skipped a lot of the turn of the century stuff but post-1940 it is fantastic.
