@FindMyLodge@riverlodges@Heni_master Take a look at the latest online version of the BoC. See the red print which will update Rule 158. When fully implemented it will clarify the process for applicants resident in other countries. There was never a problem with this if you follow the protocol correctly.
@riverlodges @Brother_Worley @NTAmasonic From the UGLE social media document. The caps are theirs:
IN THE CURRENT POLITICAL CLIMATE, IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER THAT FREEMASONS ARE ASSURING THAT THEIR POLITICAL BELIEFS AND THEIR MEMBERSHIP OF FREEMASONRY ARE NOT CONFLATED.
@NTAmasonic It’s a really worthwhile role. You might get to work with MCF who are amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. The London almoners system is also moving towards providing mental health support by setting up teams of specialist Mental Health Ambassadors to support almoners.
@BrotherJTAM@FreemasonsHall @LondonMasons @UGLE_UniScheme And what a superb ceremony it was. You were absolutely perfect Jake. Great contrast between the Deacons. One a Grand Officer and soon to be a MetGI, the other was raised last week. The stand-in Tyler did ok considering 😊
@JDL7844 Depends on the membership. I’m sec of a Universities Scheme lodge. Some are very new. Visits may have been arranged for them to see ceremonies as observers rather than participants but they don’t yet know any of the members in those lodges well enough to invite them.
For the past 18 months, @UGLE_UniScheme introductory meetings in London have had to be held online…but tonight we are back! A steady stream of applicants contact us to find out more about #Freemasonry, and these informal chats are the first step on their journey.
@freemasonjake@SolomonUGLE I would be there but I have a lodge meeting. Great to be back to some sort of normality. I’m sure yours will go well. I’ll catch up later.
