Today I learned that a good amount of fourth graders donโt know how to use paper clips. It took 5 kids to figure out how to clip the papers back together. I wish I could make this stuff up. ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
I passed out a paper with future dress up days for homecoming week. I asked the kids what animal print they guess I would wear on โwild day.โ They all screamed cheetah and laughed. They get me.
Another teacher first today - found a frog in a kidโs sweatshirt. It was chilling in there for about three hours before I noticed why they were being so good. Let me tell you, I cannot make this stuff up.
We read a book about UFOs today and while I was driving tonight I saw a light dart through the sky!! Probably just space debris, but will I tell my kids that tomorrow??? ๐ซ Of course not. Iโm telling them I saw a UFO ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
I really wonder what our classrooms would be like if the pandemic never hit, how much the kids would be thriving, what our classroom set ups would be, how many field trips we could go on, and the current stance of education as a whole.
*This week was all Disney to teach theme* Today as the kids were loading the busses, my sweet, innocent little boy waved goodbye and said with the biggest grin, โMs. Sigler, when I get home Iโm going to watch marijuana.โ He really meant Moana. We are working on pronunciation. ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
I met someone this weekend whose fourth grade teacher is John Bโs grandmother. He is friends with her on Facebook and showed me their family photos. I wanted to keep scrolling to see them all. ๐คฃ
A student drew a picture of me in my cheetah mask and matching shoes today. She wanted me to remember my A+ matching moment. A great Friday nonetheless!
My hairdresser told me to put ketchup in my hair after being in chlorine and noticing green tones. I wouldnโt listen to ANYONE telling me to put KETCHUP in my hair except for her. Find yourself a Savannah. ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐
At dismissal today, my teaching profession and love for Disney aligned perfectly. Read/watch to be blown away too. I do love what I do. #moana#teachinginapandemic
