My #oped in the @chicagotribune on why we need to teach #VincentChin story, 40 years later. It’s not too late and as relevant as ever. https://t.co/PSJBAexP00
gatekeeping in publishing is so insidious it trickles down to even (perhaps most of all?) the newest, most insecure authors & it makes me so sad. people are burning their careers & reputations before they even publish. not long ago, i was intro’d to a debut author (former lawyer)
@Grace4NY@GeorgiaDemocrat Thank you for being a voice for Asian Americans during a time of resurgent anti-Asian racism. Would love to help reach Asian American communities in swing states
@angryasianman This is all about control. He is exerting his control over what she should or shouldn’t do and passes it off (poorly and patronizingly) as teaching her something.
BREAKING: The U.S. Supreme Court just released a decision in our case, June Medical Services vs. Russo. Our lawyers are currently reading the decision. Stay tuned for more information. #MyRightMyDecision
Some are calling for Juneteenth to be a national holiday. How about we go further & pass healthcare & living wages for all, a fully restored Voting Rights Act & reparations, etc. Please don’t just ask for a holiday. Let’s make it a holy day of repentance & reconstruction.
Please address @nbc. I will say @meganamram and I went to @Harvard around the same time and the #anti-#Asian#racism I experienced while there was both pretty casual and pretty blatant. An ex once told me he couldn’t tell the diff between me & my 2 roommates bc we were all Asian
@rtajima did not know you grew up in Mt. Prospect IL (where my family lived when we first moved to US)! Currently writing lessons for the series (w @imm_history). Ofc I never learned this history in school. Thank you for all your work! https://t.co/iKelQJsl4T
@LFEfraternity Kick them out and please also require that your members are educated in both Asian American and African American history & 4 good measure critical race theory. Asian American identity, which your fraternity was founded to support & cultivate, cannot be formed on anti-blackness.
Why we need the series @PBS@CAAM. Student wrote letter calling on her community to support Black Lives Matter after watching the PBS Series #TheAsianAmericans https://t.co/tsEgRKIJm3
