the way people use "semi-realistic" to describe seemingly any stylized work that looks good/appealing is... interesting
like, you know "realistic" isn't always synonymous with "good?" a lot of great work is stylized - stylization isn't a deficiency

I know a lot of people have been posting their Lensa/other AI portraits lately. I would like to encourage you not to do so or, better yet, not to use the service. These AI seem like harmless fun but they are predatory and intend to replace artists. (1/9)
a trick of the trade: i need to make an old map illustration, so i used watercolour on *drawing paper* and it creates a really nice grainy and uneven texture!
