Among our most striking rescues are orphaned zebras. Naturally wary, they find comfort and safety by bonding closely with their Keepers - who wear special striped coats to mimic the pattern of their lost mothers [zebra foals imprint on their mother’s markings, we use the coat so that young rescues will imprint on it]. It’s a small gesture with a big impact, helping these foals feel secure, loved, and part of a herd once more.
