It was a distinct privilege to engage in dialogue with the Secretary-General of the Organization of American States (#OAS/#OEA), His Excellency Albert Ramdin, and the Secretary-General of #CARICOM, Her Excellency Dr. Carla Barnett, during their high-level mission to #Haiti from 16 to 19 August.

The discussions covered the security situation, preparations for the December elections, and the coordination of regional and international support. The events at Kenscoff in the days that followed have only sharpened the case he made as supported by H.E. Dr. Barnett.

The #Bahamas remains committed to standing with Haiti. I am grateful to both Secretaries-General for their time and for the candour of the exchange.
