I love my job, but part of it is also managing expectations & being realistic about KPIs and workload. PR is more than a full time job mentally. Good relationships with media/KOL cannot be pinned down to quantitative results but it will show LT. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Another thing that ruins the sector: agencies signing up brands for a ridiculously low fee just to have this big name in their portfolio. But also brands who push for low (retainer)fees. That’s just pure exploitation.

And I can assure you from what I’ve seen and heard some of the coolest brands or biggest names pay the least amount of fees or have the worst internal structures. Just have some basic decency and pay for the work that’s done & pls be a little bit appreciative.
