one of the big reasons i keep posting about Covid is well we are in year 5 the kids are growing up and i want them to know that some of us were fighting for them. there were people who didn’t forget them and we are trying our best for their futures. we owe them so much more.
If you’re enraged about Marcellus Williams (you absolutely should be), you need to make sure that you’re viewing this violent, racist injustice, not as an isolated incident, but as part of pattern of systemic violence and racism.
As of 9/22, Chicago has ended its use of ShotSpotter. Thank you to all the coalition partners, community members, @ChicagosMayor, and every person who fought for this. Let's continue this momentum by investing in alts like the PeaceBook and other grassroots solutions to violence!

340 days of this.
In a normal world, today 630,000 students from Gaza are supposed to start their educational year, but in the genocide era, today they lost the second educational year, and instead they are waiting in the water, food and aid distribution lines.
Gaza, September 2024.
reminder, everything you see & hear from Gaza is the tip of the iceberg. No video or photo can convey the smell of death, the sound of 24/7 drones, the feeling of shaking ground, the desperation of hunger & the pain of a cesarean without anesthetic, the sensory terror of genocide
People in Gaza have lost hope in negotiations , people have lost hope in a ceasefire. The only wish for people right now is to die an unpainful death and to be identified at the time of death.
Imagine every tenth person you know has been killed, injured or reported missing. Every tenth person you met on the street, sat next to in class, went to work with, loved…
At the same time Netanyahu is given his standing ovation, a whole building was just bombed in north Gaza and the hospital is overflowing with injuries and so much blood and screams.
Heads of state "condemning violence in politics" in their rhetoric are so disgusting. State violence is political violence! Your prisons kill! Your police kill! Your departments of transportation and public health kill! Your lack of nonviolent solutions to poverty kills!
For two hours the ambulances did not stop transferring injuries to the hospital after Israel targeted a school in Nuseyrat.
Some arrived beheaded and their bodies were scattered into pieces.
Hundreds of displaced Palestinians were sheltering in this school.
Everyone is wondering why I have been quiet ..
i have no idea how people think I can handle everything going on.
I am exhausted, drained, depressed.
My heart is collapsing.
