@therapeuticvids Tobu is a big pte zoo/ amuse park while Punch's home a tiny municipal zoo. Tobu's entry fee is abt 4-5x higher, so their obj n fund sources differ.
Nonetheless, hope Punch's home can get a pleasant upgrade soon w/donations, giving him a better environt where he can truly thrive💙

@Komalagar23 I think the new meal integration is working. Punch seems less clingy with his daddies now. He's eating on his own and isn't constantly looking back to check if they're leaving without him.👍🏻👏🏼🐵♥️

@ichikawa_zoo Thanks for your update. Could you kindly share some insights into Punch's new meal routine - how does he know when it's time to enter the inner room? Does he eat alone? Does he still get to have any physical interaction with his two beloved zookeepers? Thanks again! 🙏🫰

@YVemula5063 Punch's desperation n frustration. If all phy contact has been stopped, the sudden withdrawal must be confusing n potentially traumatising to him. I know the zoo means well, but cldn't they phase in gradually, eg. reducing keeper contact 1 meal a day instead of an abrupt cut-off.

@ticagg For the past 6 mths, every meal round meant his darling furry son running to n clinging onto him so lovingly. No matter how prepared the keepers are, reckon daddy will feel the emptiness, esp. during the first few meal rounds, tho he knows n sees Punch inside.

@e6dEvLpan34726 The troop looks somewhat smaller, at least fm the ltd angles seen. Wonder if Punch n some (perhaps friendlier) mbrs hv been separated to eat somewhere away from the public eye for now - a new phase of Punch's integration before eventually rejoining the troop. Juz thinking aloud..

@ichikawa_zoo Altho most Punch fans hv been preparing ourselves for this day, I still can't help feeling apprehensive. I understand this is an impt step for Punch's future, but part of me wonders if it couldn't wait until he's at least 18 mth old - stronger n more established within the troop?

@e6dEvLpan34726 There seems to hv been a increase in hostility. Perhaps the crowded condition n heat are adding to the stress n hostility. Hopefully, the zookeepers hv the means to self-protect shd a situation turn ugly, and that the zoo mgt is looking into ways to better safeguard its staff.

@ichikawa_zoo This is a very malicious n despicable act by a twisted mind! Once identified, the culprit must not only be expelled n permanently banned from the zoo, but more importantly, be handed over to the police as this is animal cruelty - a criminal act!😡
