Fabric School, lesson two: DCH-32.
“Staple” is the length of a single cotton fiber.
DCH-32 is an Indian long-staple cotton, bred at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, from two cotton species.
It’s widely grown in Karnataka, and its fibers typically measure 34 to 36 mm.
It’s a cotton used to spin fine yarns.
The Deccan-Luxe Hoodie: 100% Indian long-staple cotton, trims included. 0% polyester. 420 GSM French terry, pre-shrunk, relaxed fit.

@RamRanchie Fair math, Brad. Worth flipping the tag, though: polyester loves to hide in the fabric. Ours is 95% modal, not polyester, in every color. Tag check this weekend? 👀
@DBell61209 Not trash, just trees 🌳 Beechwood pulp turned into soft modal, 0% polyester. And the 12-pack works out to $8 a pair with free shipping. Still feel pricey?
Fabric School, lesson one: Pima cotton, without the buzzwords.
Pima is a type of cotton. In The Pima Fleece, it’s the only fiber.

@wp_sanders Same team, William. These are 95% modal, 0% polyester, made from plant-based beechwood fiber. Cotton for life, or open to giving modal a shot?
@renendave8 Irons are the comeback nobody asked for, Renendave 😄 Plant fiber over plastic, and a quick steam does the rest. Team iron or team 'it'll relax by noon'?
Seven days in. Nothing to undo.
Day 7 of the Soft Reset.
Fewer decisions. The same few pieces.
The Thermal Cotton Crew: 95% cotton, 0% polyester.

@LH7741968250408 Promised facts, Leviticus, and here they are: yes, our fabric is OEKO-TEX certified ✅ Still zero polyester too. Ready to put the 12-pack to the test?
@LH7741968250408 Good eye, Leviticus 🔍 We're pulling the exact certificate for this fabric so you get facts, not fluff. Zero polyester either way. What else is on your label checklist?
@thegarybrecka Hi @thegarybrecka , when we hear you say the same things that form the foundation of our brand. It feels validating. Thank you for always doing the right thing!
This will change how you think about your workout clothes.
A lot of performance gear is made from polyester, nylon, and spandex. In other words, synthetic, petroleum-based fibers. Add heat, sweat, and friction, and I personally don’t want those materials sitting against my skin for hours.
That’s why I’ve been switching more of my workout clothes to natural fibers like 100% organic cotton and wool. You don’t need to throw out your entire closet. Just start reading the tags and paying attention to what’s actually touching your skin.
Every time a polyester shirt goes through the wash, it sheds tiny plastic fibers. They end up in rivers, fish, even drinking water. Plant fibers break down. Plastic stays.
Monday. Back into the week.
