May his soul rest in peace. The history of my reading formative years cannot be told without a mention of the many books I read, prominent among which was Jeffery Archer's collection. I had a whole shelf dedicated to his books then.

I visited Qatar once, during COP 11 or 12, I can't recall which. It was a beautiful country. The hotel I stayed in was very pleasant. I remember seeing some maintenance workers patching up a bad road very professionally. I remembered this because I spent considerable time watching them from my hotel balcony.

Isn't this a waste of resources? If the essence of JAMB is to unify admissions into Nigerian universities, and many Nigerians are migrating to Europe and America to study there, who then would this initiative cater for? I'll wager, the cost of setting up this office on foreign soil far outweighs the inherent benefits.

For Nigerians in Canada, the UTME is coming closer to home. 🇳🇬🇨🇦

JAMB is working towards establishing a UTME centre in Ottawa, Canada, expected to commence operations in 2027.

The proposed centre will make it easier for eligible Nigerians in Canada and across North America to sit for the UTME without travelling to Nigeria solely for the examination.

It also represents a bigger opportunity to strengthen the connection between Nigerians in the diaspora and Nigerian tertiary education.
