7/ Two non-negotiables:

• Fail-open. Node down → the call returns null and the trading engine runs identically. Cognition gas is advisory; it never sits in the execution path.

• Portable. The node isn't pinned to a LAN — the agent reaches it over an encrypted tunnel, across any network. Cognition as a bearer thing you carry, not a service you're tied to.
