Easy to get lost in the stresses and hectic schedules of maintaining a golf course but always rewarding to reflect on all that has changed in my now 21 yrs here! Working under @Calsuper all those yrs prepped me for all the changes that continue taking place here
Can’t say enough how well our crew dialed things in since the start of the week to allow our members and guests a pretty epic time this weekend…the Cal Club experience is just different 😎
Let the fall/winter projects begin! Tree work to reduce shade in some key areas and some over seeding on fairways where we made huge strides in getting rid of poa this year
We’re doing so many different things this year between a data driven approach to watering and heavy use of performance metrics…it’s a great thing when members start to notice all those adjustments come together
It’s been a busy winter but shout out to my crew for keeping the place in the shape they have kept it in. Greens are pure and ready for the season 😎#teameffort
Wow. Darren Oliver, co-designer of Cape Wickham and proprietor of https://t.co/LD9HC9G0W6 has strong words about the new https://t.co/YJZYrGclRl Top 100 list.
Agree? Disagree?
He makes some solid points, including pointing out a clear conflict of interest. (And notes his own.)
I haven’t played Cape Wickham, but to a man every single person I know personally who has played it says it is top 50 in the world at the minimum.
@KylePorterCBS He should resign. He put up the players to take the moral high ground but he didn’t himself and took the money. Now all of the PGA is taking the Saudi money. He is a small pitiful man with no morals and balls. What a shame. @chambleebrandel@McIlroyRory
@peterjkostis they took the moral high ground when it suited them but in reality they have no morals. If they had morals, they would resign from their current positions and walk away with their heads high.
