Why wouldn't Pakistan's Prime Minister @CMShehbaz respond favorably to the appeal by @Jemima_Khan for a visa for her 2 sons to visit their ill father @ImranKhanPTI in jail? Such visas are ordinarily processed with extra speed on compassionate grounds. Why no response for 2 months? The British government should help. I assume the #UnitedKingdom issues visas for Pakistani officials.

My sons Sulaiman & @kasim_khan_1999 applied for visas in January (again… ) to allow them to visit their father @ImranKhanPTI in Pakistan. The Pakistan consulate states that online visa processing normally takes 7–10 working days. It has now been 60 days. This despite the public promise that they could safely travel there to see their father after 4 years, made by both Defence Minister @khawajaMAsif to @mehdirhasan & PM spokesperson @mosharrafzaidi to @SkyYaldaHakim
Meanwhile, they are not allowed to speak to him on the phone, nor send him a letter. They haven’t seen him since 2022 after he was shot in an assassination attempt.
This is an appeal directly to Pakisan’s PM @CMShehbaz to please allow Imran Khan’s two sons to see their father asap, particularly since, by all accounts, his health is in decline.

History you aren’t taught: The coup against Iran’s Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh by the CIA and MI6 in 1953

Mosaddegh had pursued nationalist policies and was widely-popular, having nationalised Iran’s oil to stop British exploitation of Iran’s natural resources. Winston Churchill considered Iranian oil to be Britain’s.

Contrary to the US’ and UK’s claims to promote democracy and freedom around the world, the US and UK backed The Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi to overthrow Mossadegh and return Iran to authoritarianism, while being a compliant leader that followed Washington’s and London’s orders.

After the coup, Iran’s oil was once again privatised and divided up among the UK, US, and some European countries through a new oil consortium in 1954. 40% of the shares went to the British oil company BP. 5 American oil companies had significant stakes in the consortium.

The dictatorship of Pahlavi, enforced by the ruthless SAVAK, for Western oil companies to steal Iran’s oil, triggered such anger among the Iranian population that it led to the revolution in 1979, which gave birth to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The roots of the war on Iran today are the MI6’s and CIA’s attack on Iranian democracy in 1953…but the US and Israel claim to be perpetrating this destabilising and disastrous war to advance democracy and ‘freedom’.

History shows they are lying.

مارچ ۲۰۲۲، اسلام آباد میں او آئی سی ممالک کا افغانستان کے مسئلے پر ایک اور اجلاس منعقد کیا گیا۔ وزیراعظم عمران خان اقوامِ عالم کو اف��انستان میں ابھرتی ہوئی صورتحال سے خبردار کرتے ہوئے مل بیٹھ کر بہتری کا ایسا راستہ نکالنے کا کہتے ہیں جس سے افغانستان کے شہریوں کی فلاح اور افغانستان کے پڑوسی ممالک اور عالمی دنیا کا امن ممکن ہو۔
جون ۲۰۲۲، عمران خان کی حکومت کے خاتمہ کے بعد پی ڈی ایم کی کٹ پُتلی حکومت کے ��امنے عسکری حکام کی جانب سے وہی پلان پیش کیا جاتا ہے جس کی نومبر ۲۰۲۱ میں وزیراعظم عمران خان نے اجازت دینے سے انکار کردیا تھا۔ کیا پدی اور کیا پدی کا شوربہ، فوری منظوری دے دی جاتی ہے۔
جون ۲۰۲۲، عسکری حکومت کی جانب سے افغانستان وفد بھیج کر طالبان (المعروف دہشت گرد، المعروف خوارج، المعروف فتنہ الہندوستان) کی آبادکاری کے منصوبے پر عملدرآمد کا آغاز ہوتا ہے۔
جولائی ۲۰۲۲، میں اس منصوبے کے خلاف عوام کو متحرک کرتا ہوں۔ مجھ پر غداری کے مقدمے ہوتے ہیں، فساد پھیلانے کے فتوی لگتے ہیں اور جان سے مارنے کی دھمکیاں دی جاتی ہیں۔ پھر درون خانہ رابطے کرکے پہلے حجتیں، تاویلیں اور پھر واپس بھیجنے کی گارنٹیز دی جاتی ہیں اور واپس بھیج بھی دیا جاتا ہے۔
اگست ۲۰۲۲، عبوری حکومت کے دوران عسکری سرکردگی میں ان طالبان (المعروف دہشت گرد، المعروف خوارج، المعروف فتنہ الہندوستان) کی پاکستان میں باقاعدہ آبادکاری کا آغاز ہوتا ہے اور عسکری سرکردگی میں اسلحے سمیت خیبر پختونخواہ کے جنوبی اضلاع میں آباد کیا جاتا ہے۔
پھر ان ہی کاروائیوں کا آغاز ہوتا ہے جن کو بنیاد بنا کر ۲۰۰۴ سے ۲۰۱۷ تک خیبر پختونخواہ اور باقی پاکستان کو تختۂ مشق بنایا گیا۔
پھر ٹرمپ کی امریکی اسلحہ کے بیان اور بگرام ائیر بیس دینے سے طالبان کے انکار میں ہمارے جرنیلوں کو وہ سنہری موقع مل جاتا ہے جس کے وہ انتظار میں تھے۔ پاکستان میں پناہ گزین افغان شہریوں کا غیر انسانی انخلاء شروع ہوتا ہے، بارڈر پر تجارت بند کردی جاتی ہے، افغانستان پاکستان کے امن کا اولیں دشمن قرار پاتا ہے، تندو تیز بیانات اور فضائی حملوں سے اس دشمنی کو مزید مستحکم کیا جاتا ہے۔
نتیجہ اس سے کچھ مختلف تو نہیں ہونا تھا جو ۱۹۷۰ سے ۲۰۱۰ تک ہوا مگر کیا سبب تھا کہ ۲۰۲۲ میں بھی اسی رُول بُک کو فالو کرنا مناسب سمجھا گیا؟ یہ سوال میں تو چار سال سے پوچھ رہا ہوں اب اگر منہ سے جھاگ اڑاتے، جنگ کے طبل بجاتے اور سوال اٹھانے والو کو وطن دشمنی کے فتوی بانٹنے والوں کی گیس لائیٹنگ میں آئے بنا آپ بھی پوچھ لیں کہ کیونکر اپنے جوانوں، اپنے اور پڑوسی ملک کے معصوم شہریوں کی زندگیوں، اپنے ملک کے امن اور استحکام سے اس بے دردی سے کھیلا گیا تو شاید آپ کا مستقبل گذشتہ سے کچھ مختلف ہوجائے۔
جو ہو رہا ہے، جو بساط بچھائی گئی ہے صرف بیرون آقاؤں سے کی جانے والی کمٹمنٹس کے مطابق فرد واحد کی طاقت کو دوام دینے کے لیے ہو رہا ہے چاہے وہ غزہ ہو یا افغانستان۔ یہ نہ کل پاکستان کی لڑائی تھی، نہ یہ آج پاکستان کی لڑائی ہے۔
