Dr. Hussam is heavily tutored, and each time his lawyer visits, new injuries are discovered on him.

His last words to his lawyer were: “They brought me here to kill me; this is my end.”

Israel has already killed Dr. Hussam’s son, and now it’s Dr.Hussam’s turn.

Today is another day of grief.
Kenya’s Supreme Court dismissed the appeal in Arshad’s case. Kenya’s High Court already declared it an unlawful killing and a violation of his right to life. Yet today we are still left with: no arrests, no concluded investigation, no accountability.
I have seen this before in Pakistan and now in Kenya. When police and the judiciary are not fully independent, when no one is arrested and no investigation is finished, injustice becomes normal.
Arshad left Pakistan because he was not safe. He came to Kenya for refuge. On 23 October 2022 he was shot and killed on Magadi Road Kenya by GSU. The High Court called it unlawful. Four years later, The Supreme Court of Kenya has confirmed: Arshad Sharif’s killing by Kenyan police was an unlawful violation of the right to life. But it declined to order prosecution, apology, or to call it torture.
we have a court declaration, but no justice.
I am exhausted. But I will keep seeking truth and accountability for Arshad, by every means left to us. Now again case landed into court of appeal in Kenya.

This is a real disaster threatening our lives in the displacement camps.

As temperatures rise and living conditions continue to deteriorate, our tents have become overwhelmed by huge numbers of mosquitoes and insects, along with strange reptiles and crawling creatures that find their way into the places where children and families sleep.

Our children can no longer sleep because of the constant bites, and fear follows us day and night in tents that provide neither safety nor protection.

Our suffering is no longer limited to displacement, hunger, and the extreme summer heat. Insects and reptiles have become an additional danger, threatening our health and safety every single day.

We are living in conditions unfit for human beings, and urgent action is needed to protect the thousands of families facing these risks in displacement camps.
