Witt and PCA are the top two in MLB in Outs Above Average. Great defenders, great players.
@sportspollsguy1@PodcastDoesnt Ohtani has basically the same innings pitched as Max Fried (61.0 vs 61.2), and way more than Rodón (25.0) and Cole (18.0). He’s also posting the best ERA in baseball right now at 0.74. 😂 And as a hitter, he currently has a higher OPS than Judge (.939 vs .908).

Ben Brown has gone crazy with the knuckle curve lately: batters have struck out 20 times against it over his last 5 outings combined after he had 14 K with it through his first 12 outings in 2026.
His wOBA allowed off it this season (.167) makes it among the game's best:
And people still say he can’t hit in the playoffs 😂
Who is this guy? Every time the lights get brighter, he just keeps mashing. The haters gotta find a new narrative lol.
In a "down year" offensively for Shohei Ohtani, there are two (2) players in all of baseball with an OPS+ that's better than his. He also has a sub-one ERA, the third lowest ERA in baseball history through 10 starts. Down year.
Please understand that Shohei Ohtani has pitched 61 innings this year and allowed a total of 5 earned runs.
And he's batting .300, slugging .521, and leading the National League with a .419 OBP.
An elite pitcher being an elite batter is just insane.
"He's what 90% of the Big Leaguers did at 12 years old. They dominated their town's Little League, then they threw no-hitters."
Mark DeRosa is in disbelief of Shohei Ohtani after he raised his average to .301 and lowered his ERA to 0.74 last night.
The Diamondbacks face Shohei Ohtani tonight on the mound. He has the 9th lowest ERA entering June in MLB history. And he's 5-8 this series with 2 doubles + a triple.
Geraldo Perdomo says he's from a different planet. Torey Lovullo called him the greatest player he's ever seen.
