The Elizabeth Dole Foundation also endorses the following legislative and advocacy initiatives that would positively impact the economic mobility of family caregivers:
• Grandfather the Legacy Cohort of PCAFC Participants. Finally, with respect to the legacy cohort of PCAFC participants—those Post-9/11 caregivers who were admitted to the program prior to September 30, 2020—they again face an uncertain future due to the pending changes in eligibility requirements. Many of these caregivers have repeatedly been found eligible for the program over the years and endured multiple pauses, regulation and leadership changes, lack of previous program standardization, and questionable assessments. While they have benefitted from the stipend, the emotional toil and financial uncertainty of not knowing whether their benefits will continue have weighed heavily on caregivers and veterans alike. Therefore, EDF asks Congress to work with the VA and relevant veteran service organizations to consider “grandfathering” this population of approximately 14,000 caregivers into #riyadh PCAFC, except in cases of fraud or abuse, and allow the VA’s Caregiver Support Program (CSP) to focus on its mission of supporting all generations of caregivers, rather than continuing this years-long struggle.

The @netflix#GABBYPETITO documentary touched my soul. As a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Treatment Victim Advocate and a survivor, I always continue to educate myself to share resources with the survivors/victims as well as my colleagues when I conduct training.
A positive that has come out of Gabby Petito’s tragic death are these 12 questions designed by her father, Joe Petito, that police need to ask victims of DV, to help them get support and safety: #GabbyPetito
@ndvh@josephpetito Thank you for sharing this. I am a domestic violence and sexual assault Treatment Victim Advocate in Colorado. I am here to support women who have experienced, are currently experiencing domestic violence, or know someone who is. #domesticviolence#victimadvocate#support
Hi, are you new here? Let’s talk a little about #PCAFC..
There are 842 public comments you might want to read on the federal register that closed 2 days ago. They are from caregivers and VSO’s detailing the relentless fight we’ve had to get the caregiver program to align with congressional intent.
It’s been a toxic relationship but we are hopeful @SecVetAffairs will align with president Trumps past SecVA and grandfather Legacy caregivers.
Then continue to align the new regulations with congressional intent. Please read the comments we left on the proposed regulations from the previous administration.
My dear friend/fierce advocate @robin_stitt and I have been in this fight for far too long. Any help is greatly appreciated. 🇺🇸❤️

This morning I had to go to work. I did not want to miss Hoda's Eras Show. My husband recorded it for me so I can enjoy all of the special moments of Hoda. Watching all of the memories, had me so emotional but happy for you. I love you!
Last month, I spoke with Retired Army First Sergeant David Star — a Stafford County resident and the brother of Major Richard Star — when he called into my telephone town hall inquiring about the status of the bill named in his brother’s honor.

Thank you @ScottyMcCreery for standing up for the woman at your concert last night. You noticed that a guy hit her and stopped your concert to not only make sure she was okay, but you also waited for law enforcement to remove him.
@grahamallen - Have you seen this? This is proof they don't have the best interest for any Vet. We have been fighting for changes with #PCAFC (caregiver program) because of the restrictive "interpretation of the law" leading to thousands to be denied a valuable benefit!
@SenJackReed#HR1282
My husband served our country honorably for 16 years, but had to medically retire due to combat related injury. Please bring this to vote!
@SenJackReed@QuonsetRI@SenJackReed funding is there for #HR1282 but we NEED YOU to bring it to a vote. My husbands retirement would be $1200 but with the offset he is only entitled to $400 CRSC. He served honorably as a Navy SEAL and forced out early due to his disability. Please support #majorstaract
