@BeSaintly@Maclaine1776@_Texas_toast A Jewish friend of mine has opened up a bit to me before… I believe many Jews see Catholic as “the bad guys” of the Christian’s and respect Protestants more. Most likely due to historical reasons…
@Maclaine1776@BeSaintly@_Texas_toast my dads side is all catholic. my mom was raised Pentecostal. They met in the middle and raised us Lutheran, although I’ve attended Catholic mass with my father many times. My catholic cousins say that Lutheran is like “Catholic Lite™️” It really is quite similar theology.
@juanpoopy@asukagrypr you were a grown man in your 20s dating a high schooler. not only weird & creepy but just shows how mentally immature you were/are.
@clit_aurus@tomieinlove @swordprty no one cares. and the more black folks try to falsely claim ownership on phrases or cultures that were not originally theirs to begin with, the less ppl will care. it’s also not that serious. like go focus on a hobby or your life, instead of whining about a term you didn’t invent
@planetclarke Recording a naked, unconscious person in their own home and posting it online is literally unlawful surveillance. You can be mad, but you can’t rewrite the law because you don’t understand it.
@LuvlyMarsh Coming forward?? She filmed a naked man inside his house and blasted it on TikTok. That’s called unlawful surveillance, not a #MeToo moment lol.
@FgcRogue@BigAlBurner@DrQSatoshin@MattConvard I’m not trying to manipulate you—you can’t manipulate a retard to not be a retard! it’s like trying to convince a closeted f@g that he doesn’t like d1ck. keep using those “big” buzzwords to make you feel like you won this one tho, bro bro!
@FgcRogue@BigAlBurner@DrQSatoshin@MattConvard You can’t be disgusted by ‘the idea of’ an act without first thinking about that act. An idea is a literal thought.
Call it an ‘idea’ or ‘imagining,’ you’re just playing semantics to dodge the fact that your mind goes there when you see gay dudes.
@Ggover9000_@letterfoxd @Ilovesyou5everz If you weren’t able to explain it, that means you didn’t understand it yourself. The sentence just doesn’t use AAVE grammar. There isn’t really anything to argue after that.
@Ggover9000_@ukiyeri@ihatecornballs@letterfoxd @Ilovesyou5everz Saying something is AAVE because you think it is isn’t the same as it actually being AAVE. The sentence doesn’t use any AAVE grammar, that’s just the linguistic reality!
The “I hate stupid people” in your bio is… quite the choice here.
@Ggover9000_@letterfoxd @Ilovesyou5everz literally my reaction to you acting like a standard English sentence is some exclusive dialect 😭 you’re assigning ownership to a phrasing that’s been around for centuries.
@Ggover9000_@ggyl_blahblah@ukiyeri@ihatecornballs@letterfoxd @Ilovesyou5everz Yes, Eminem’s style was influenced by Black culture. And it’s still true that stan came from his song and is not AAVE. Remember, accuracy doesn’t erase culture, it protects it.
@ggyl_blahblah@Ggover9000_@ukiyeri@ihatecornballs@letterfoxd @Ilovesyou5everz yes they absolutely did. it was even included in some of those website links with list of AAVE words that white ppl shouldn’t say. It got a lot of backlash from folks and was removed after they were properly educated. Sit this out if you don’t know what you’re talking about
@xxplumkiss@Ggover9000_@ukiyeri@ihatecornballs@letterfoxd @Ilovesyou5everz It’s just rhetorical exaggeration… a common English expression long before the internet. The only regional element is ‘y’all,’ which is Southern American English used across races. AAVE has distinct grammar markers, and none are in that sentence.
